The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, in collaboration with partner organizations across the United States, completed its first publication by and for youth, "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste: A Guide to the Demilitarization of America's Youth & Students,” in February 2005.  This “Very Free” 32-page booklet included articles on military recruiting in high schools, universities of mass destruction, how to struggle against militarism, organizing tools and success stories. The Guide proved to be such a hit that, within little over six months, our stock of 20,000 copies had run out! Although printed copies are not available, you can download a PDF version here. The Nuclear Age Foundation is currently exploring and developing concepts for other youth-oriented publications. Stay tuned for more info.
