The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation sponsors two contests for youth in order to provide new and creative approaches to introducing issues of peace. The contests include the Swackhamer Peace Essay Contest, an annual international high school essay contest responding to questions of global peace and security; and the Barbara Mandigo Kelly Peace Poetry Awards, an annual series of awards to encourage poets to explore and illuminate positive visions of peace and the human spirit.
